Our Vision and Values

We want to share the school's vision and values with you, please read the information below:

Our Vision:

“At Hillhouse Church of England Primary School we aim to provide an environment where everyone is safe, secure, challenged and supported to achieve their true potential within a Christian community”

           Our aims for our children

Our children are happy in school.  They all reach their full potential in a school, which they enjoy and benefit from a broad and balanced curriculum.

Our children are confident, with self respect, self discipline and self esteem.

Each child is a valued and self motivated member of the school community.

Our children respect others and are honest, fair, responsible and polite.

They develop an understanding and awareness of the world in which we live.

We follow eight Gospel Values which underpin everything that we do. These are:

Respect, Responsibility, Wisdom, Truth, Hope,

Compassion, Fairness and Courage.

Above all, at Hillhouse Primary School, we AIM to make the children’s experiences at     school happy and secure within a caring Christian environment.

The School Day

Morning session      8.40a.m. - 12.00noon

Afternoon session   1.00 p.m. – 3.00 p.m.

Children should arrive at school no earlier than 8.30 a.m.

Morning routine

On arrival children can go straight in to their classrooms. The doors will be opened at 8.30am and closed no later than 8.45am.

  • Miss Munros and Mrs Tollerveys class will enter through their usual door by the office.
  • Mrs Rumneys and Miss Gallachers class will enter through the door they usually exit from, which is supervised by Mrs Anderson.
  • Reception will enter through their own doors.
  • All other KS2 classes will enter through the door under the canopy by the new build.

There will also be a member of staff on the school gate to take messages if needed. We are hoping this will encourage the children to come into school on time in a calm and orderly fashion. The extra benefit is no waiting around in the cold!

Parents are responsible for their children before 8.30 a.m. and after 3.00pm
