Hillhouse CE Primary will be celebrating the Queens Platinum Jubilee.

In 2022, Her Majesty The Queen will become the first British Monarch to celebrate a Platinum Jubilee after 70 years of service. At Hillhouse CE Primary school, we will be celebrating The Queen during the week beginning 23^rd May. We will be making, baking and celebrating all week.

 

Tuesday 24^th Sports activity morning. Year 6 will be organising a morning of fun sporting activities for the school. Oakview Special school will be joining us too! Please send your child in in their PE kits. This is everyone’s PE day for this week.

 

Wednesday 25^th 1.30pm Traditional May Day. Parents and Carers are invited to watch this event.

Please send your child in with a white outfit to change into for wear for the event (Dresses, skirts and shorts are all fine. )   If you do not have a white outfit a light-coloured spring outfit is fine or their PE kit. Shoes need to be suitable for dancing and skipping so no flip flops.

After May day we will go straight into our summer fayre. We would love it if you would stay and support the Friends of Hillhouse. 

 

Thursday 26^th Street Party. The children will be performing songs they have learnt from artists spanning The Queens lifetime.  We will all be eating our lunches outside.

Please note there will be no hot food options on this day. 

The children can come dressed in their party clothes, princess dresses or royal costumes. (No football kits or sportswear as this is a royal event)

Thank you to everyone that donated items for the Mothers Day Gift Sale.

All gifts will be sold at £2 each.

If your child/children would like to purchase a Mothers day gift for you please place the money in an envelope with your childs name on it in the blue postbox by the office.

All money needs to be in school by the end of the school day on Tuesday 22nd March'22 to enable the children to go and purchase their gifts on Wednesday and Thursday.

If you would like to purchase a raffle ticket for the Mothers Day Raffle please place £1 in an envelope with your childs name on it.  If you are purchasing a gift this can be placed in the same envelope.
