Re: Universal Free School Meals KS1

We are writing to all parents of KS1 children who would not normally have a school dinner on Thursdays.

The vital funding that we receive from the Government to support your child’s development in school will be based on the number of children recorded as having a school meal on the School Census Day which is Thursday 16th January 2020.

In order to maximise the amount of funding that the school receives and in order to benefit the school budget, we are asking if you could encourage your child to take a school meal on this day.

They can make a selection from the following menu on the day:

Roast Chicken with Sage & Onion Stuffing, Roast Potatoes & Vegetables

or Jacket Potato

Salad Bar

or Cheese Roll

Muffins

Fresh Fruit

 If they would normally bring a packed lunch on this day and would prefer not to try the meal, they can eat their packed lunch instead.
